Connecting global host markets with German expertise in sports, infrastructure and event delivery.
Strategic Networking for Future Mega-Events

Project, solutions and results
As part of its ongoing work with FIFA on stadium design reviews and construction monitoring for the FIFA World Cups 2030 and 2034, HFP engages with emerging host markets and their preparation processes for major sporting events.
In this context, HFP was commissioned by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWE), coordinated by Germany Trade & Invest (GTAI), to organize a high-level study trip to Munich and Stuttgart during the week of the UEFA Champions League Final.
The program brought together senior stakeholders from Saudi Arabia’s sports and entertainment ecosystem with German institutions and industry representatives.
Through site visits, expert discussions and networking sessions, participants gained insights into Germany’s experience in hosting large-scale sporting events, including stadium operations, fan engagement, event technologies and safety management.
Building on this exchange, HFP – together with Bundesliga and Elements Inspire – is preparing a follow-up networking mission to Saudi Arabia in September 2026 as part of the market entry programme by BMWE and GTAI. The visit will offer German SMEs opportunities to engage with relevant institutions and gain insights into preparations for upcoming major events.
Such initiatives form part of HFP’s broader approach: connecting future host countries with international expertise and fostering dialogue around the planning and delivery of global sporting events.
